Network of CDM Centres of Excellence

The project is supported by the Foreign Commonwealth Office, UK and is implemented by Ecofys in India and Ecosecurities in South Africa. A separate website for this project will be set up soon.

Ecofys and EcoSecurities opened a process on 19 August 2004 to identify an Indian and South African organization to become local partner for establishing and hosting a CDM Centre of Excellence The establishment of the first set of CDM Centres of Excellence (CoE) starts in India and South Africa. Ecofys and EcoSecurities have opened a process to identify a qualified local partner for implementing and hosting the CoE. In mid August, the Terms of Reference (ToR) were issued that provided further information for applicants. By the deadline for submission of proposals, 30 September 2004, the project team has received numerous applications that are currently under review. Short listed candidates will be interviewed by phone between second half of October and first half of November. A final decision on a local partner is tentatively scheduled during the first half of November 2004. We would like applicants to note that the project team cannot make any statements until decision on local partner is final.
